Latex is a naturally derived biodegradable product. It comes from the rubber tree. Latex is hypo-allergenic, and breathes to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Bacteria, mildew, and mold cannot live in latex foam. Independent tests prove that our latex foam is three times more resistant to dust mites and bacteria than ordinary mattresses. NOT ALL LATEX FOAMS ARE EQUAL. Our premium latex is made using the Talalay process resulting in a longer lasting, more resilient latex. This differs from the Standard process which produces a less resilient latex. Talalay feels springy and the Standard latex feels marshmallowy. We recommend the Talalay.
Mattresses
Latex mattresses are the Cadillac of all mattresses. All latex and foam mattresses are "no flip" mattresses. The quality of the product is such that it does not require flipping or turning.
All of our latex mattress prices include a removable satin cotton case. Latex cores start at 6" thick. Add extra layers to increase the thickness, comfort, and aesthetic appearance of your mattress. The most popular combination is a 2" layer of soft latex foam on the firm or extra firm base. This will support you while sitting and give you the pillow top feel while lying.
To create an extra thick latex mattress (9" - 12" or more), order conventional foam like 5700 to be used as a base beneath the latex. Specify in the comments field on the shopping cart screen that it is all to be combined in one case.
For example: 5" of 5700 + a firm latex core = an 11" super mattress.
