![]() CMHR (Combustion Modified High Resilient) foam is used when the strictest fire code standards are required, such as in hotel lobbies, hospitals, schools, mass transit (airplanes, buses). The foam has a high density which helps it last a long time. Fire retardant chemicals in the foam give the texture a grainy feel. We sell the brand Code Red 2® foam, which is a preferred component to pass the Cal 133 and Cal 117 fire codes. These codes represent the amount of time it takes for the composite to burn. The Cal 133 code is one of the most stringent. Fire proof standards are determined by testing the finished product. This foam is a good component to help you pass these tests. Please note: Flexible polyurethane foam is extremely flammable. It will burn if exposed to sufficient heat.
